The United Nations has once again raised alarms over the rising civilian death toll in the Saudi war on Yemen. The UN says Saudi airstrikes are to blame for two thirds of deaths between January and February.

Turkey’s prime minister in Tehran

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani received Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu , who visited Tehran as premier for the first time in two years. During the talks, the two leaders called for greater efforts in fighting terrorism and strengthening regional stability, but differences on Syria remain.

Spain’s political deadlock

The crisis in Spain has deepened and the hunt for a prime minister is lingering on. Coalition efforts have failed so far. It’s a similar story across the rest of the continent as old certainties are questioned and new challenges strain the bonds holding the European Union together.
