Russia hopes ceasefire will lead to political settlement in Syria

Days after a ceasefire took effect in Syria, a relative calm is largely holding. Russia which brokered the ceasefire with the help of the US, says it hopes the situation remains the same for a while, giving the Syrian warring parties a chance to return to peace talks. Concerns, however, remain as Turkey has warned it may resume cross-border fire if it feels any threat from the Kurdish fighters in northern Syria.
