Hezbollah reporter killed near Aleppo in Syria: SANA
A Lebanese journalist working for Hezbollah resistance movement has been reportedly killed in northern Syria while covering an operation against Takfiri terrorists in that part of the Arab country.
Mohammad Mahmud Nazar lost his life in the southern countryside of the northern province of Aleppo on Sunday, Syrian official news agency, SANA, reported on Monday.
The 28-year-old reporter was from the southern Lebanese village of Arab Salim.
Nazar was one of “the first participants in covering the battles of the Syrian Arab Army and the Resistance against the terrorist organizations in Syria,” SANA added.
Syrian forces backed by Hezbollah fighters have been making gains against Takfiri terrorists.
According to a recent report by Lebanon’s al-Ahed news website, in their latest advances, Syrian forces and allied Hezbollah fighters, launched mortar attacks on Daesh positions in Jarajir and Jayrud villages in the mountainous Qalamoun region near the Lebanese border, inflicting losses on terrorists.
Syrian fighter jets also bombarded terrorists' positions in Qalamoun, killing and injuring a number of militants.
The advances of the Syrian government forces against militants of Daesh and other terrorist groups have been expedited by Russia’s air cover.
Moscow launched its air campaign against terrorist groups in Syria on September 30 upon a request from the Syrian government. The Kremlin says its strikes are aimed at helping the Syrian army in its battle against terror groups.
More than 250,000 have been killed and millions displaced as a result of the foreign-backed crisis in Syria since March 2011.
