North Korea declares no-sail zone off east coast

The annual meeting hosts leaders of the world’s top industrialized nations. French President Francois Hollande has cancelled his trip following Friday’s attacks in Paris.

2. An explosion has wounded at least four policemen in southern Turkey. Media reports say a suspected ISIL terrorist blew up his explosives in an apartment in the town of Gaziantep near the Syrian border. The developments come as Turkey is hosting the annual G20 summit.

3. US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has slammed Turkey and some Persian Gulf Arab states for unclear policies toward Daesh. Clinton says Daesh cannot be contained so it must be defeated. She called for global efforts to uproot terrorism. This while Washington itself is under fire for backing terrorists in Syria.

4. France has identified one of the assailants involved in the Paris terror attacks. 29-year-old Omar Ismail Mostefai was identified by a fingerprint on a severed finger found in the Bataclan concert hall. Police say the French national was one of the three gunmen who blew themselves up there.

5. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has condemned Friday’s terror attacks in Paris. The world's top Islamic body called for joint action against terrorism. OIC Secretary General Iyad Madani described terrorism as the arch enemy of humanity and said the 57-member organization has always censured terrorism in all its forms.

6. Iraqi Kurdish forces have found a mass grave in the town of Sinjar after its liberation from the ISIL. The grave contains the bodies of 78 Izadi women, aged between 40 and 80. Officials discovered the site based on information provided by young women enslaved by the ISIL terrorists.

7. Palestinians hold a memorial service for a teenager who was killed by the Israeli army 40 days ago. Muhannad Halabi was killed in the early stages of the ongoing Palestinian uprising against the occupation. Several high-ranking Palestinian officials also attended the ceremony in the West Bank city of Bireh.

8. North Korea has declared a no-sail zone off its east coast, hinting at a possible missile launch. The warning covers all movement of ships from November 11 to December 7 near the port city of Wonsan. Pyongyang has previously declared a no-sail zone without launching a missile.
