France's socialist head of government has heaped praise on Greece's leftist prime minister for his "courageous decision" to stay in the eurozone.

"[Alexis] Tsipras made a courageous choice at the same moment when he was asked for other reforms," Francois Hollande said on Monday after Tsipras struck a reforms-for-bailout deal with the eurozone.

He added that Tsipras' decision will end in the "restructuring of debt", which allows Greece to stay in the eurozone.

Meanwhile, in cash-strapped and bankrupt Greece, the left-wing Antarsya party is calling for a demonstration on Monday night in front of the iconic parliament building in Athens in protest to the austerity measures dictated by international lenders for a new bailout.

After months of tough negotiations, Athens' leftist government finally persuaded the European lenders to agree with the new bailout to secure the country's place in the Eurogroup and keep Athens' from financial collapse.

However, left-wing anti-austerity protesters say the new terms accompany harsh measures which will bring painful repercussions for the Greek populace.
