Iran pres. says nuclear deal must include lifting of all sanctions

President Hassan Rouhani says a nuclear deal with the P5+1 must include the lifting of all anti-Iran sanctions.

Rouhani says the sanctions have harmed all sides in recent years, including the EU. The Iranian president stressed his country has always met its commitments in the nuclear negotiations. He added, everybody has realized the fact that Tehran has been a serious party in the talks. The president was speaking with Italian foreign minister Paolo Gentiloni in Tehran. Gentiloni agreed that the sanctions must be removed in a nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1. He said, despite the sanctions, there are numerous capacities for cooperation between Tehran and Rome.
