Netanyahu seeks to wreck prospects of deal on Iran nuclear energy program, Alan Hart says

Alan Hart is an author and a former Middle East Chief Correspondent for Independent Television News. Press TV has talked with the London-based commentator on an announcement by the White House that the United States and Israel will continue to have close consultations over Iran’s nuclear energy program.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has overplayed his hand, and his policy is to wreck any prospect of US President Barack Obama striking a nuclear deal with Iran, Hart argues.

He explains further that Netanyahu was trying to create enough support in US Congress to override an Obama veto, but the Israeli premier has already lost this battle and the bipartisan US support for Israel has ended.
