People in Indian-controlled Kashmir have held a ceremony to celebrate the 36th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution. Massive rallies and processions were carried out across the region to mark the historic event. At a conference held in Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, speakers described the 1979 Iranian revolution as a turning point in modern history.
The speakers also paid tribute to Iranian nation for their unflinching support for the cause of Palestine and other oppressed nations of the world.
They said the message of Muslim unity and brotherhood first introduced by late Imam Khomeini holds more relevance today than ever before.
The speakers vehemently denounced western powers for imposing economic sanctions on Iran, describing them as inhumane and unjustified.
The philosophy of the Islamic revolution lies in Muslim unity and brotherhood, and that is precisely why people across the world commemorate this day with such enthusiasm every year. The day has special significance here in Kashmir as people continue to get inspired by Iran’s Islamic revolution.
