In a public statement the family of Palestinian prisoner Shadi Daraghmeh, announced that their son whom suffers from Palsy, had been tortured in Israeli prisons, a matter that has further deteriorated his health.

Israeli military forces had arrested Shadi Daraghmeh on August 7th of 2014, from his home in the Qalandiya Refugee camp, north of Jerusalem Al-Qods. Upon their discovery of the torture he faced, Shadi’s family immediately contacted officials to mobilize their efforts to save their son.

Medical neglect has been a running accusation against the Israeli Prison Administration, where even in the case of supplying medical treatment and support to Palestinian prisoners; it does not meet the required levels by any standard.

Shadi Daraghmeh’s family say Israeli investigators have used cruel methods in their torturing of Shadi for over two months despite his unhealthy condition, which has caused serious skin ulcerations in his feet, While the Israelis have not allowed him any treatment for his condition.

Shadi Daraghmeh's case is nothing new to Israel's Prison Administration as cases of detainee torture are often overlooked by the Israeli investigators.
