Wakeboarders flip through flooded street in Moscow

A Russian wakeboarder flip through flooded street in Moscow.

Recent torrential rains in Moscow have beaten a 129-year-old record for the heaviest August downpours. However, many young Muscovites have found a way to beat the floods.

Professional Russian wakeboarders take advantage of the flash floods by taking to the city’s streets to wakeboard their way through the deluged capital.

They tow behind a hummer to show off their jumping skills. Chaos prevailed in Moscow after more than 48 millimeters of rainfall fell to the city.

According to the meteorological center, the previous record of 25.2 millimeters of precipitation was recorded in 1887.
