There have been different scenarios laid out for post-genocide reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, even before a ceasefire or permanent truce has been reached.

After two years of genocide, another plan has been presented by US President Donald Trump, a plan to Arab leaders.

Arab leaders endorsed large portions but sought additions.

The 21-point peace plan calls for the release of all captives, a permanent ceasefire, governance of Gaza without Hamas, and, a gradual withdrawal of Israeli regime forces.

This is while Israeli regime forces are re invading Gaza City, killing Palestinians on a daily basis. Despite Trump's reassurances, a ceasefire to end Israel's two-year genocide against Hamas was nowhere close to fruition.

Arab leaders endorsed large portions of the proposal, but sought additions, including no annexations of the West Bank by Israel, maintaining the current status quo for al Quds, ending the war in Gaza and bringing back all the captives held by Hamas, increased humanitarian aid and addressing Israeli illegal settlements.

This is while Trump could end the genocide with a phone call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

When it comes to the post-genocide plans for the Gaza Strip, one involves governance, the other economic plans.

In June 2024, Egypt and United Arab Emirates announced they were willing to participate in a post-genocide security force to work alongside PLO forces. They couple this with conditions; no Hamas rule or a future Palestinian state, something Netanyahu has rejected.

Then in January 2025 it was reported that the UAE, the United States, Saudi Arabia and the other nations would temporarily oversee governance, security and reconstruction of Gaza under a reformed PA; it would also govern the West Bank and al-Quds under an independent Palestinian state.

Israel has opposed the PA rule and a Palestinian state.

Now there is a plan for former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to participate in post-genocide plans for Gaza.

With US President Donald Trump's blessing, they have been tasked with establishing a post-war transitional body to govern the Gaza Strip until it can be handed over to the Palestinian Authority.

The plan envisions the establishment of the Gaza International Transitional Authority, GITA, along with a series of subordinate structures.

Tony Blair is also involved in a project developing a post-war Gaza plan that includes the creation of a Trump Riviera and a manufacturing zone named after Elon Musk.

The project was developed by the US consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group, or BCG. The $5 billion plan would include 10 mega projects; new highways, ports and an airport to turn Gaza into a trading hub.

The plan assumed 25% of Gazans would leave voluntarily, and that the majority would never return.

Israel's far-right minister of finance, Bezalel Smotrich, has said the Gaza Strip could be a real state bonanza.

He is in talks with the US about dividing up the territory after the war.

As early as 2023, an Israeli real estate firm pushed to build settlements for Israelis in Gaza.

The real estate firm Harey Zahav ran an advertisement with the slogan, 'a beach house is no longer a dream'.
