Former British Member of Parliament Lembit Opik has worked with Press TV since 2010. In that year the long running series ‘A Simple Question’ was first broadcast. Lembit has presented hundreds of episodes, providing a balanced, fact based approach on current affairs, and revealing the public’s true feelings on issues that Western politicians try to suppress or misrepresent. In 2019, Lembit launched Press TV’s innovative and humorous look at global politics called ‘Press Release.’ In 2020, Lembit began presenting the lively, satirical weekly look at world politics Cats & Dogs - another creative evolution for Press TV. Lembit also regularly contributes to Press TV news programs, giving an honest, sensible and fact based perspective on UK and global affairs.

Lembit Opik was born in Northern Ireland on March 2, 1965. He studied Philosophy at Bristol University. In 1997, Lembit was elected to British Parliament where he served for 13 years. In 2001, he became the Liberal Democrat Party Leader in the nation of Wales.

Lembit is a successful writer and broadcaster. In 2012 he published a book - The Alternative View - that accurately predicted the decline and fall of the UK Liberal Democrat party. Lembit is dedicated to giving an honest and often entertaining perspective on current affairs. He is publicly committed to rebalancing biased anti-Iran coverage in the global media. Lembit says ‘every nation has a right to be heard openly and fairly - and I want to make sure Iran has that voice.’
