After being in the US for close to 30 years, he has been one of the lucky journalists to have been involved in the launch of a TV station in Tehran, Iran, namely Press TV, Iran’s first English language news channel.
Over the years, he has been an anchor, field anchor, reporter, news writer, and producer.

News has been pivotal in shaping his professional life, and working in a hotspot like Tehran, Iran has been key in covering important news for the West Asian region.

Anchoring and news writing have become his focal point, especially conducting live coverage. He covered some major events, like the 2008-09 Gaza war, the 2008 financial crisis (i.e. US and the eurozone debt crisis), and what became known as the “Arab Spring” (continuous coverage of the revolutions in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Yemen).

He has acquired a special interest in conducting interviews, from analysts to political figures, which he is able to exercise as a host for the program The Debate (previously News Analysis).

He also produces a daily program called On The News Line which covers the day’s events. Meanwhile, he writes and produces a weekly program called Economic Divide, a program which explores the socio-economic news like inequality, poverty, and unemployment.

Prior to working for Press TV, he was in the hospitality industry in the US.
