After spending over 10 years in Australia Max Civili returned to Italy in 2010 where he has been working as a journalist, news anchor, geopolitical analyst and writer ever since.
He joined Press TV as a correspondent in 2011. Throughout his stint with the Iranian broadcaster, he has reported on a number of controversial issues including Silvio Berlusconi's 2011 resignation as Prime Minister in the midst of an acute debt crisis, the financial and sex scandals that have plagued the Catholic Church, the 2012 and 2016 earthquake tragedies and the COVID-19 crisis.
Before joining Press TV, Max worked for nine years as a producer for SBS, the Australian state broadcaster, writing, producing and hosting news bulletins and current affairs programs.

His articles and reports on topics ranging from social justice to sports events have been published and aired by various Italian media outlets (Il Manifesto, L'Espresso, Radio Capital and Radio RAI). He occasionally collaborates as a political commentator for Pakistani international news channel Indus News and Argentinean regional broadcaster Chaco TV. Since 2015, he has been a regular contributor to the geopolitical magazine Eastwest.

Max has a law degree with specialization in the Anglo-Saxon interpretation of human rights and a Master's Degree in Geopolitics and Global Security. He has a working knowledge of Spanish. As well as having lived in Australia, he has briefly lived in the United States and Argentina. He traveled far and wide across the Globe.
