He started his career as Press TV correspondent from Islamabad, Pakistan in 2010. During his association with Press TV for almost a decade, he has covered major developments. The most significant aspect of the coverage from Pakistan has been indeed the fallout of the so-called US war on terror. The US drone campaign in the country’s erstwhile tribal areas has caused lot of anger because of the collateral damage caused by the CIA’s secret war. In 2011, he produced a 25-minute documentary for Press TV on the drone attacks. He visited the tribal areas and met victims of the drone campaign while extensively interviewed experts, officials and others to investigate how the successive governments in Pakistan had a tacit understanding with the US over drone program.

Similarly, he got the chance to extensively cover the major terrorist attacks in Pakistan including the massacre at the army run public school in Peshawar in 2014. Not just that the continued tensions between Pakistan and India over the longstanding Kashmir dispute is also a major issue he covered from this part of the world. On the political front, he has covered the court proceedings against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who in 2017 was ousted by the Supreme Court over corruption charges. He also covered 2014 and 2018 general elections in Pakistan.  Prior to joining Press TV, he worked for Dawn News, English news channel as senior correspondent and anchor. He also worked for state-run Pakistan Television as current affairs host.
