The repeated cases of the desecration of the Holy Quran in Europe are rooted in the West's anti-religion ideology and its concern over the dynamicity of pro-Muslim movements, says an analyst.

Since 2020, when Danish extremist Rasmus Paludan came to Sweden and set ablaze the Holy Quran – the first such instance on Swedish soil – the repeated cases of the desecration of Islam’s holiest book have earned the Scandinavian nation a bad name across the world.

Muslim civil society organizations, at a major security and human rights conference held in Poland on Thursday, warned about the alarming surge of state-sponsored Islamophobia in Europe.
