Moscow says Ukraine’s "terrorist attack" was foiled by Russian forces, and vows retaliation.

The US is set to ramp up weapons delivery to Ukraine, deepening its involvement in the simmering war in defiance of repeated warnings by arch-foe Russia.

Russia has celebrated May 9th, which marks the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II. Some 29 million Russians lost their lives in the war. To mark their sacrifice, memorial ceremonies are held in all Russian cities that include a traditional Victory Day parade in Moscow.

Russian medics took part in a Victory Day parade in the North Caucasian resort city of Zheleznovodsk. The event was postponed from May 9 due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
