Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip condemn President Mahmoud Abbas for participation in the funeral of former Israeli president Shimon Peres.

Early Wednesday, former Israeli president Shimon Peres passed away at age of 93. In Israel and some Western countries Peres was hailed as an important figure in peace and the development of Israel.

Palestinians remember Peres as a “war criminal” who has the blood of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians on his hands.

Bahrain does not have diplomatic relations with Israel but some Arab states, chiefly Saudi Arabia, have recently moved to warm relations with Tel Aviv.

The call is meant to mark the one-year anniversary of the beginning of what is described as the third Intifada throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem al-Quds.

Palestinians blame Peres for the massacre of thousands and their endless sufferings under occupation.
