Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank have been on a rampage in recent weeks, blocking and attacking all aid convoys headed to the war-ravaged Gaza Strip.

Latest reports have revealed that some 62,000 Israeli settlers have fled the northern sector of the 1948 Israeli-occupied territories out of fear of Hezbollah’s strikes.

UN rights office spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said Israel must “prevent further attacks, including by bringing those responsible to account.”

Hundreds of Israeli extremist settlers, protected by the regime’s forces, have raided several towns in the occupied West Bank for the second consecutive day, hurling stones at passing vehicles and setting ablaze homes.

The mayor of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village said the settlers stormed the village and set fire to Palestinian property.
