New York Times probe says the Israeli military has been using Palestinian detainees as human shields in a widespread manner across the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army uses Palestinian men as human shields to search tunnels in the besieged Gaza Strip for Hamas resistance fighters and booby traps, according to a report.

Palestinian doctors in the Gaza Strip say they have been detained, interrogated and used as “human shields” during Israel's violent raids on hospitals and medical facilities in the besieged territory.
