Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani says the Islamic Republic has turned the enemy’s “regime change” dream into a “change in Iran’s governing regime over the Strait of Hormuz.”
Speaking in a televised interview on Sunday, Mohajerani said there are clear and solid reasons proving that Iran is the victor on the battlefield and stood firm during the 40-day war waged by the United States and the Israeli regime against the country.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran managed to turn the issue that they had launched under the label of ‘regime change’ into a ‘change in Iran’s governing regime over the Strait of Hormuz’ and this issue is one of the most important achievements of the Iranian people’s 40-day resistance,” she added.
She emphasized that there is no end to diplomacy for Iran as the diplomatic apparatus will continue its work to “secure, preserve, and protect national interests.”
All diplomatic efforts, she noted, are taking place while Iran’s Armed Forces are also in full preparedness and the nation supports them.
She affirmed that Iran did not start the war but it was the US and Israel that launched the aggression by assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The enemies wrongly believed they could topple the Islamic Republic by targeting military and diplomatic figures but they ultimately failed to achieve their goals and requested a ceasefire, the government spokesperson said.
She added that Iran, for clear and specific reasons, is the victor on the battlefield and has shown it can stand firm against the world’s dominant military power.

Iran did not bow to enemies
Mohajerani said despite the assassination of the Leader and several influential military and diplomatic figures, Iran still continues its work “strongly and decisively” which shows that the country has reached maturity and stability and will not be shaken by such events.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has begun using its leading geographic and geopolitical capacities,” she added.
She emphasized that although Iran suffered many losses but it will never bow to the enemies.
During the war, Iranian Armed Forces unleashed 100 waves of successful retaliatory strikes against sensitive and strategic American and Israeli targets throughout the region.
They also blocked the Strait of Hormuz to oil and gas tankers affiliated with the adversaries and those cooperating with them in an attempt to maintain security at the strategic waterway.
