US-Israeli war against Iran a battle between evil and good: Iranian director

Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi

A renowned Iranian filmmaker has characterized the US-Israeli war of aggression against the Islamic Republic as a fight between evil and good.

“Today, the great Iran, on behalf of all oppressed people across the world is resisting against the child-killing Israel and US,” Majid Majidi wrote in a note on Sunday.

He said the front lines of this fight are not confined to military battlefields but have been extended to the homes of civilians, hospitals and schools of those children who have no protection other than hope.

Despite all pressures, the Iranian nation stands firm, he added.

The director noted that leaders of this path and the innocent children are all part of the story of resistance of a nation who stands firm in the face of pressure.

The US and Israel started a fresh round of unlawful military aggression on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked attacks on the country.

The attacks led to the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, hundreds of Iranian civilians, including women and children, as well as military commanders.

In one of the most heinous war crimes, the US and Israel carried out a bloody Tomahawk missile strike on the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school building in the Iranian city of Minab on February 28, which killed at least 168 people, most of them children, and injured 95 others.
