Ex-IRGC chief: No truce in US-Israeli war until Iran gets ‘definite outcome’

Mohsen Rezaei, former chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)

A former chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says Iran would agree to no ceasefire in the US-Israeli aggression until the country reaches a “definite outcome.”

Mohsen Rezaei made the remarks in a TV program on Wednesday, the 12th day of the illegal military assault.

“Iran has run out of patience, which it had exercised out of humanitarian considerations to prevent a regional war,” he warned. “This time there will be no ceasefire until a definite outcome is reached.”
Iran says it is the one that determines when and how the aggression will come to an end.

Last year’s US-Israeli aggression against Iran ended with a ceasefire after 12 days following the failure of the aggressor regimes to achieve their objectives.

Rezaei warned criminal US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop bombing residential areas aimed at escaping a defeat in the war against Iran, saying such strikes would trigger a similar response.

He also expounded the three stages of the ongoing aggression, the first of which was to topple the Iranian government in three days and the second –the 4th to 9th day- involved aimless air raids by the desperate enemies.

Beginning from the 10th day of the war, the third stage that followed the appointment of the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Iran’s heavy retaliatory strikes has made the enemies think about ways out of the quagmire, he added.

He further said that US aircraft carriers and vessels have retreated and are now at a 1,000-kilometer distance from Iran’s waters, while Trump has acknowledged that tens of thousands of Americans have fled the region and the remaining forces have taken refuge in hotels and residential areas.

Meanwhile, Rezaei, who is currently the secretary of the Economic Coordination Council of the heads of Iran’s three government branches, highlighted the failure of the enemies’ plots to spark unrest in Iran.

“Iran’s missile arsenal is infinite, while you (the Americans) have been forced to bring THAAD anti-missile systems from South Korea,” the ex-IRGC commander said.

He also emphasized that despite all their espionage and intelligence activities, the enemies do not know Iran’s capabilities, which lie mainly in human resources, faith and innovation.

The US and Israel launched their brutal act of aggression against Iran on February 28 by assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty.

So far, at least 1,348 Iranian people have been killed in the terrorist air raids.

Iran swiftly began reprisal missile and drone attacks on the occupied territories as well as on the US assets in regional countries.
