Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement says it has targeted Israeli soldiers near the border with a rocket attack.
Hezbollah said in a statement that its fighters struck a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Lebanese border town of Mays al-Jabal on Monday.
Hezbollah earlier announced its fighters killed two Israeli soldiers in an operation deep inside the occupied territories.
Israeli media, stunned by the highly specialized military and operational capabilities of Hezbollah, confirmed the killings.
In recent days, Hezbollah has struck Israeli soldiers, illegal settlements, and military bases along the border with barrages of missiles.
The retaliatory operations by Hezbollah were launched in response to relentless, deadly Israeli strikes, which have been targeting southern and eastern Lebanon almost daily, in violation of the November 2024 ceasefire.
Hundreds of people, mostly civilians, have been killed since then.
