The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has denounced the remarks by US ambassador to the Israeli-occupied lands, Mike Huckabee, who suggested Israel had a right to expand its territory across a large swath of West Asia, stressing that the comments reflect Washington’s policy of providing all forms of support to Tel Aviv.
“The remarks attest to the United States’ all-out support to Israel to dominate the Arab region, and impose control over the Muslim world,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in a televised speech broadcast live from the Yemeni capital Sana’a late on Sunday.
He noted that Huckabee’s remarks were consistent with Washington’s long-standing positions, highlighting that the 70-year-old American diplomat has frequently voiced support for Israel’s attempts to control the region, its peoples, and their resources.
The Ansarullah chief sharply criticized Israel for violating its international commitments, stating that the US, as Israel’s guarantor, is a partner in the latter’s “crimes, aggression, objectives, and conspiracies.”
Houthi highlighted that despite deceptive rhetoric — such as proposals attributed to US President Donald Trump’s administration — Israel’s viciousness is exhibited through daily crimes against the Palestinian people.
He stated that killings continue relentlessly in Gaza, alongside the demolition of buildings and an ongoing policy of siege and starvation. He also touched down on the ongoing serious violations in the occupied West Bank.
The Yemeni leader went on to warn that Israeli measures are increasingly targeting holy Muslim sites, particularly the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, citing new restrictions on worshippers and limits on the number of people allowed to pray there.
He described the steps as “very dangerous and hostile,” stating that Israel plans to destroy the mosque and replace it with a Jewish temple.
Outside the occupied Palestinian territories, Houthi said, Israeli airstrikes and other acts of aggression on Lebanon are continuing despite purported agreements and guarantees.
The Ansarullah leader stressed that Arab and Muslim worlds must recognize they are collectively being targeted, and are facing US-Israeli “tyranny.” He warned that enemies seek to push the region into indifference to extremely dangerous incidents.
Houthi stated that the sole path to salvation for the Muslim world is adherence to religious values, arguing that alternative approaches are “consumptive and draining.”
He cited the experience of the Palestinian Authority’s reliance on the Oslo Accords, stating that the agreements resulted in nothing but displacement, destruction, and plunder in the West Bank.
The Muslim world has no option but to confront Israel and eliminate its threats, the Ansarullah chief said, calling for resistance through proper and effective means.
