Israeli forces, along with extremist settlers, have escalated attacks and launched a new wave of violence against Palestinians by shutting schools, injuring children, and burning homes across the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian officials and local sources, Israeli occupying forces continued large-scale incursions across the occupied West Bank on Sunday.

In the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, Israeli forces have maintained a continuous raid since Saturday afternoon, forcing the suspension of school classes and disruption of daily activities due to the prolonged military presence.

Marzouq Abu Naim, deputy head of the al-Mughayyir village council, said Israeli troops attacked a mourning tent for Mohammad al-Nasan, a 14-year-old Palestinian child killed two days earlier.

He added that the regime soldiers raided multiple homes and converted the house of Hamza Abu Aliya into a military post after forcibly expelling the family amid harsh winter conditions.

The local official further said Israeli forces also assaulted Nader Abu Aliya, a child with disabilities, beating him and attempting to force him to walk despite his physical impairment.

Al-Mughayyir and the surrounding villages east of Ramallah have been subjected to repeated Israeli and settler assaults in recent weeks.

Israeli forces also carried out additional raids and arrests across multiple cities and refugee camps.

In Ramallah, troops arrested Qusai Hamad al-Salmi during a predawn raid in the al-Tireh neighborhood.

In Nablus, Israeli undercover agents detained Asil Munir al-Tayti, a former prisoner, and Mohammad Bashir Barakat during raids on the Balata and al-Ein refugee camps, alongside incursions into the village of Kafr Qalil.

In Bethlehem, Israeli regime forces detained eight Palestinians from Khalayel al-Louz and the village of Artas.

This is while four young men were detained in Saida, north of Tulkarem.

Israeli troops also stormed Qalqilya and the town of Azzun, firing live ammunition indiscriminately in residential neighborhoods, injuring a child with shrapnel.

They also caused multiple cases of suffocation by firing tear gas into residential areas.

In occupied East al-Quds, Israeli forces raided the al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan, while violent settlers carried out coordinated attacks on Palestinian communities in nearby areas, burning homes and vehicles and injuring residents.

The armed settlers also launched a violent overnight attack on the Khallet al-Sidra Bedouin community near the town of Mikhmas, northeast of occupied al-Quds.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that four Palestinians, including two foreign solidarity activists, were injured in the assault.

A group of settlers set fire to at least eight homes, vehicles, and agricultural structures, and reportedly opened live fire during the attack.

Since the Gaza war began, Israeli forces and settlers have sharply escalated attacks across the West Bank and occupied al-Quds, with Palestinian rights groups documenting thousands of raids, mass arrests, home demolitions, and settler assaults.

Israeli settlers carried out more than 4,700 attacks across the West Bank in 2025 alone, resulting in deaths, injuries, and the forced displacement of entire Bedouin communities.

The intensifying violence in the West Bank comes as Israel continues its genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed more than 71,500 Palestinians and devastated the besieged strip since October 2023.
