At least 12 Palestinians have been killed and 18 injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, as the Tel Aviv regime continues to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement with the Hamas resistance movement across Palestinian territory.

In an update on Friday, the Gaza Health Ministry said that at least 10 Palestinians were killed in the most recent strikes across the blockaded territory. At least two more bodies were recovered from the rubble of previous Israeli attacks.

The casualties come after at least two homes were destroyed in western Deir el-Balah, an area that was designated a so-called safe zone. A third was struck in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

At least two fatalities were recorded in the southern city of Khan Yunis.

The Israeli military claimed that one of the victims, Muhammad al-Hawli, was a commander in the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.

Media outlets quoting sources reported a remarkable activation of Israeli drones and movement of Israeli naval warships close to the shore on Friday morning.

Residents and witnesses said the noise of Israeli drones and the unbearable level of anxiety they bring have kept them awake through the night.

A senior Hamas delegation and representatives of other Palestinian factions met in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Thursday to discuss the newly announced second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which comes despite Tel Aviv’s continued violations and failure to adhere to the terms of phase one.

Hamas official Taher al-Nunu said that the resistance movement was working “to open the crossings, allow aid in and secure the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip.”

The meetings coincided with Israeli artillery and gunfire attacks targeting multiple areas in Gaza, including Al-Mawasi and Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood.

Since Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza broke out in October 2023, at least 71,455 Palestinians have been killed and 171,347 injured, according to the latest figures released by Health Ministry in Gaza.

At least 463 Palestinians have been killed during the ceasefire, with 1,269 more injured.

Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza continues, alongside ongoing settler and Israeli military violence in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces have killed more than 1,106 Palestinians and 10,904 wounded others since October 2023.
