Resistance retaliates
A series of Palestinian operations have struck multiple areas in the northern part of the occupied territories, causing casualties. The Hamas resistance movement hailed the operation. The Islamic Jihad has also commended the operation as heroic.
The attacks unfold against the backdrop of expanding illegal Israeli settlements, increased raids in the occupied West Bank and rising rhetoric from Israeli officials who are calling for the execution of Palestinian detainees, and to also bury the idea of a Palestinian state.
Such developments, along with the inaction of international bodies, leave resistance against the occupation as the only viable option left for Palestinians. That and more on tonight's edition of Spotlight.
