Two more Palestinian civilians have been killed and several others wounded as Israeli forces continue deadly aggression across the besieged Gaza Strip in violation of a recent ceasefire deal.

The Israeli military forces killed two more Palestinian civilians in separate attacks across the war-ravaged Palestinian territory on Monday evening, the official Palestinian WAFA news agency reported.

A Palestinian woman lost her life as she succumbed to wounds from an Israeli shelling that struck the al-Jarou family home west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, while another woman was fatally shot by an Israeli drone in the Halawa camp in Jabalia al-Balad in the north, it said.

Multiple other civilians were also injured when Israeli drones targeted tents sheltering displaced families near the al-Omala Market in Gaza City, the report added.

These latest assaults come in violation of a US-brokered ceasefire between the Tel Aviv regime and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas that took effect on October 11. The overall death toll since the Israeli genocidal war in October 2023 has continued to climb, now reaching 70,365 Palestinians, most of whom women and children.

Another 171,058 people have also been injured, while many victims remain trapped under rubble beyond the reach of rescuers.

Medical sources told WAFA that in the past 24 hours alone, hospitals received five bodies, including two pulled from debris, and 11 wounded individuals.

Since the ceasefire began, Israeli forces have killed 376 Palestinians and injured 981 more, while rescue teams have recovered at least 626 bodies, highlighting the severe humanitarian crisis still unfolding across Gaza.

International bodies, including the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, and other rights groups, have concluded that the Israeli offensive in Gaza amounts to genocide.
