India deepens ties with Israel amid global outrage over Gaza

The Indian foreign minister has hosted his Israeli counterpart for talks which New Delhi described as productive.

The meeting however has drawn criticism, because it happened amid Israeli atrocities in Gaza, which have continued even despite a ceasefire.

Critics say India’s silence on the atrocities reflects a stark departure from its traditional support for Palestine
