Gaza humanitarian crisis

A non-government organization warns that the health situation in Gaza remains extremely critical. Doctors Without Borders said the Gaza ceasefire has not been accompanied by the opening of crossings or the delivery of humanitarian aid. The MSF cited obstacles to delivering aid to Gaza, underlining that the health sector in the Palestinian territory is facing the largest structural and humanitarian disaster in modern history. The organization also pointed to some 70 million tons of rubble and around 20,000 unexploded ordnance across the territory.

Israel Lebanon aggression

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has strongly condemned Israel’s repeated ceasefire violations in Lebanon, including the recent airstrikes in southern and eastern parts of the country. Esmaeil Baqaei described the attacks as a blatant violation of Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. Baqaei attributed Israel’s continued ceasefire violations to the inaction and appeasement by the ceasefire guarantors, namely France and the U.S. He said the two Western states are responsible for such Israeli violations. Israel on Thursday launched its most intense airstrikes on Lebanon in recent months. At least one person was killed and dozens were injured. According to local sources, the attacks also damaged civilian infrastructure.

Yemenis' support for Palestine

Tens of thousands of Yemenis have once again rallied in the northern city of Sa’ada to reaffirm their solidarity with Palestinians. The protesters carried Yemeni and Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Israel slogans. Some of them held banners and placards showing pictures of martyred resistance leaders, including those who were killed by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon. The demonstrators also slammed Israel for carrying out acts of aggression against Yemen, including the recent one that killed the chief of staff of the country’s armed forces. Yemenis have been holding pro-Palestine rallies almost every Friday since October 2023.
