Palestinian-American father of five killed amid settler, military attack

A Palestinian-American man has been killed during a violent settler and army assault on the occupied West Bank town of Silwad.
Khamees Ayyad, a 40-year-old father of five, suffocated from smoke inhalation after settlers set fire to homes and vehicles.
The attack is part of a wave of settler violence, with over 2,100 settler assaults recorded in the first half of 2025.
