Israel keeps targeting Iran’s civilian infrastructure

A new attack by Israel targets the water supply mains in northern Tehran.

Israel continues to carry out attacks on Iran’s civilian infrastructure despite claims that its operations have only targeted military personnel and people related to Iran’s nuclear program.

Reports in the local media on Sunday said that a small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operated by the Israeli regime had hit the water supply mains in the north of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Iran’s Energy Ministry condemned the inhumane attack and said in a statement that technicians had been sent to repair the broken pipe, adding that water supply to customers in northern Tehran was normal.

The attack is the latest to come from Israel’s ongoing aggression against Iran that has targeted the country’s civilian infrastructure despite a media campaign launched by the regime suggesting that attacks are solely aimed at Iran’s military and nuclear assets.

As part of the campaign, Israel has sought to depict itself as "a friend of the Iranian nation" while pressing the country’s citizens to "rise up" against their government.

Reports on Saturday said that Israel had launched attacks on two refineries processing natural gas in southern Iran as well as several fuel depots in the capital, Tehran.

Iran’s Oil Ministry said on Sunday that operations in the damaged petroleum facilities had quickly returned to normal while insisting that the attacks, all carried out using UAVs, had not impacted the supply of natural gas and fuel in the country.

The Israeli regime also carried out attacks on residential buildings in Tehran on Sunday.

Israel’s attacks on civilian infrastructure have caused Iran to change its revenge strategy against the regime, with authorities saying that Iran’s retaliatory missile and drone attacks on Israel would expand to cover its economic lifelines.
