Iranian government: Aggression proved Israel ‘inherently terrorist’
The Iranian government has condemned Israel’s deadly act of aggression against the country, saying the crime proved that the regime is terrorist by nature.
In a statement issued on Friday, the government said the Israeli assault, which killed citizens, generals, and scientists, showed that the usurping regime does not abide by any international rules and laws, and that it brazenly engages in assassinations and conflagrations.
“Starting a war with Iran is like twisting a lion's tail. The cowardly overnight attack that came amid the ongoing diplomatic process on the Iranian nuclear issue is a sign of the regime's fear Iran’s power of persuasion and defense. We, the Iranians, have never initiated a war over the past 200 years and we have never hesitated in defending our homeland—and we never do so,” it added.
“Israel's violation of Iran's sacred skies and the cowardly assassination of Iranian commanders proved that this regime is inherently terrorist.”
The government also noted that Iranian nation and administration consider “revenge and defense” their legitimate right and that they will stand united to deliver a firm response to this infanticidal and terrorist regime.
“One should not speak to such a predatory regime except in the language of power,” it said.
“The world now better understands Iran’s insistence on the right to enrichment, nuclear technology, and missile power.”
Meanwhile, the government announced that it has started necessary defensive, political, and legal measures to make Israel regret its crime.
It further called on the United Nations Security Council to defend its dignity and existence in the face of the collapse of the international system.
“We will avenge the blood of each and every one of our martyrs and turn the violation of Iran's national sovereignty into Israel’s unforgivable sin,” it warned.
“This is the voice of a nation and a government that calls on the world to bear witness that we did not start the war. But, the end of this story will be written by Iran.”
Iranian Armed Forces ready to punish Israel: Defense Ministry
Also on Friday, the Iranian Defense Ministry said the Armed Forces, with the nation’s support, are ready to inflict a “severe and exemplary punishment” on the fake and criminal regime.
“The Zionist regime will undoubtedly pay the price for this crime with all its being,” it warned in a statement.
Israel exposed its “evil nature” by committing the brutal attack that violated international law and martyred innocent civilians, including women and children, as well as a number of commanders and scientists.
