On the morning of October 7, 2023, the martyr leader Muhammad al-Deif announced the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

In announcing the operation, Deif called on all the masses and forces of the nation to participate in the Flood and support the Palestinian people and their resistance after the heroic operation.
