Israel Lebanon aggression
Israel has launched fresh airstrikes across Lebanon as the regime’s unrelenting aggression against the Arab country continues. The latest strikes targeted a building in the eastern Baalbek region, killing at least four people. Another ten people were killed in Wardaniyeh town and Tyre district in Southern Lebanon. Israel claims its strikes, which have intensified in recent weeks, target weapons depots and military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah. But the attacks usually target residential areas, leaving a trail of death and destruction. Lebanon’s Health Ministry says over 2,100 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since last October, most of them in the recent spate of airstrikes.
US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza continues unabated as new round of air and artillery strikes pound the besieged territory now more than one year into the genocide.Israel conducted a deadly airstrike on a school sheltering displaced people in central Gaza city of Deir Al-Balah, killing at least 28 people and injuring many more. The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has strongly condemned the raid, calling the hideous attack “an extension of the regime’s crimes against Palestinians after a whole year of genocide.” Israeli forces also targeted several areas, including Khan Yunis in the south and Jabalia refugee camp and the al-Bureij refugee camp in the north, leaving dozens of people dead and injured. Since the beginning of the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza last October, over 42,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 97,800 others injured.
Consensus against Israel
The Iranian foreign minister says regional players are seriously concerned over the Israeli crimes in Lebanon and Gaza. Abbas Araghchi says there is consensus among countries in the region for an immediate action to end the Israeli aggressions. Araghchi made the remarks after concluding his trips to Qatar and Saudi Arabia. On Wednesday, the top Iranian diplomat made a short trip to Saudi Arabia, where he held meetings with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and Foreing Minister Faisal bin Farhan in Riyadh. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and cooperation among countries for regional security. Also on Thursday, Araqchi visited Doha and discussed regional developments with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani.
