April 16: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed nearly 33,900 Palestinians so far, including more than 16,000 children, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers.

The major operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Tuesday, April 16, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations on April 16:

• Sniped an Israeli regime soldier in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades' operations on April 16:

• Targeted the command and control center of the Israeli military southwest of Gaza City with a barrage of 107mm rockets.
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces and their military vehicles in the city of Jenin, occupied West Bank, with machine guns and other appropriate weapons.

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on April 16:

• Bombed "Sderot" and other settlements of the Gaza envelope with a barrage of rockets in a joint operation with Omar Al-Qasim Forces.

Mujahideen Brigades’ operations on April 16:

• Detonated locally-made explosive device near a gathering of Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles in Askar camp east of Nablus, occupied West Bank.
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces in the city of Nablus, occupied West Bank, with appropriate weapons.

Al-Asifah Forces’ operations on April 16:

• Bombed a gathering of Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles stationed in the vicinity of the Al-Malik military site north of Nusseirat camp with a barrage of heavy-caliber mortar shells.

Hezbollah’s operations on April 16:

Eastern sector:

• At around 14:25 local time, the Iron Dome battery was targeted at Beit Hillal base with a drone, resulting in heavy damage and casualties.
• At around 15:40 local time, the Zibdin barracks in Lebanon's Shebaa were targeted with missiles.
• At around 17:45 local time, the Al-Baghdadi site was targeted with artillery shells.
• At around 16:15 local time, the Al-Samaqa site in Lebanon's Kfar Shuba was targeted with artillery shells.
• At around 16:45 local time, the Beit Hillal base was targeted with Katyusha rockets.
• At around 19:25 local time, the headquarters of the 769th Eastern Brigade in Kiryat Shmona was targeted with Katyusha rockets.

Western sector:

• At around 19:30 local time, Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Birkat Risha site were targeted with missiles.
• At around 19:30 local time, Meron Air Base was targeted with missiles and artillery shells.
• At around 20:10 local time, the headquarters of the 146th Division in Jatoun was targeted with Katyusha missiles.
