The Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has warned about the Israeli military’s intention to perpetrate a massacre at al-Amal Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip, after the regime forces stormed the medical facility.

Hamas announced in a statement that Israeli troops raided the hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza's second largest city, amid intensive gunfire, and ordered the medical staff, displaced families and patients to evacuate.

The group roundly denounced the Israeli assault on the hospital and the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) headquarters as “another war crime,” and “part of the ongoing war of extermination against its Palestinian population.”

Hamas also slammed the Israeli military for disrespecting the international community, the United Nation and international resolutions, especially the recent International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling which ordered the Tel Aviv regime to take steps aimed at preventing acts of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

The resistance movement finally demanded a collective international action to prevent the “criminal Zionist entity” from pressing ahead with its horrific crimes and atrocities against children and ordinary people in Gaza.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing local sources speaking on condition of anonymity, reported on Wednesday that Nasser Medical Complex and al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis remain under Israeli military siege.

They sources. said that the occupation's armored tanks continue to intensively target and surround al-Amal Hospital for the tenth day, amid constant shooting to prevent any movement on the ground.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis remains under Israeli military siege for the second consecutive week.

The ongoing siege on the hospital puts at risk 150 medical personnel, 450 wounded people and around 3,000 displaced persons who have taken refuge there.

Most hospitals in Gaza have already ceased functioning due to bombardments and supply shortages after more than three months of Israeli ground and aerial offensives against the coastal territory.

The al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis is only minimally functional and is surrounded by Israeli military, according to the United Nations.

Israel launched hostilities in Gaza following a historic operation by the Gaza-based Hamas resistance group against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

More than 110 days into the campaign, the regime has achieved no objectives despite killing at least 26,900 people in Gaza, around 70 percent of them women and children. Another 65,949 individuals have sustained injuries as well.
