Jan. 8: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against Israel and its Western backers amid the regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of more than 23,000 Palestinians so far, mostly children and women.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Monday, January 8, are as follows:

Qassam Brigades' operations on Jan. 8:

Shot dead an Israeli soldier with a Qassam ‘Ghoul’ rifle, east of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Launched a barrage of rockets at the heart of Tel Aviv, the video of which was shared online.
Foiled an Israeli attempt to liberate a prisoner in the Bureij camp. The regime forces were confronted, which was followed by clashes, leading to casualties in the Israeli camp.
Targeted a Merkava tank with an ‘Al-Yassin 105’ shell in the city of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip.
Targeted an Israeli special forces unit inside a house in Khan Yunis city with an anti-personnel shell, killing and wounding many members of the force.
Detonated an anti-personnel device ‘Ra'adiya’ among an Israeli force and engaged in clashes with machine guns inside a school in Khan Yunis.
Target an Israeli special forces unit inside a school in Khan Yunis with an ‘Al-Yassin 105’ shell, which was followed by clashes involving machine guns, resulting in many deaths and injuries.
Targeted an Israeli ‘Puma’ troop carrier belonging to the Engineering Corps in the Al-Karama area, northwest of Gaza City, with an ‘Al-Yassin 105’ shell, killing two soldiers.

Hezbollah's operations on Jan. 8:

Eastern sector:

At around 11:40 local time, the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in Shebaa was targeted with appropriate weapons.
At around 15:35 local time, the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in Shebaa was again targeted with a missile.

Western sector:

At around 11:00 local time, the Hadab Al-Bustan site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
At around 15:45 local time, Israeli soldiers in Shtoula were targeted with appropriate weapons.
At around 16:00 local time, Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of the Jal al-Alam site were targeted with a missile.
