‘Tripartite meeting of resistance leaders sent shivers down Israeli spine’

The recent meeting between the leaders of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements sent shivers down the Israeli regime’s spine, says a political expert.

Speaking to the Press TV website, Asri Faiad, a political expert from Palestine, said the reassuring smiles of the resistance leaders in the meeting will demoralize the Israelis, as it demonstrates that the resistance front is ready to respond decisively to any stupid action from the occupying regime.

The tripartite meeting “sent shivers down the spine of Zionist circles, because it clearly shows the depth of coordination between these three leaders as well as the Axis of Resistance in general,” he said.

Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Saturday received Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the Hamas political bureau, and Ziad al-Nakhaleh, the secretary-general of Palestine’s Islamic Jihad movement, in Beirut.

During the meeting, the three resistance leaders declared that all the forces of the Axis of Resistance are firmly determined to give a united response to Israel’s aggressive policies.

“The pictures and details of this meeting were a mental blow to the cabinet of the occupying regime,” Faiad noted.

“Furthermore, this meeting shows the high level of such relations at a time when the occupying regime talks about carrying out assassinations, especially its determination to assassinate Saleh al-Arouri. This has been met with the reaction of the Palestinian resistance forces and the threat of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to respond to such assassination plots.”

Faiad was making a reference to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threat last month to assassinate al-Arouri, which in turn came after the latter asserted that Israel would face an “unprecedented defeat” if it started an “all-out war” on the resistance front.

Netanyahu’s threat was confronted by firm reactions from Palestinian and Lebanese resistance groups, with Nasrallah pledging that any Israeli assassination against a “Lebanese, Palestinian, Iranian person” in Lebanon would be met with a “severe reaction” from Hezbollah.

In his interview with the Press TV website, Faiad was also asked about the concurrence of the tripartite meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian’s meeting with Palestinian resistance leaders in Lebanon.

Both meetings, the political analyst said, were aimed at maximizing synergy and unity between the positions and supports of the forces of the Axis of Resistance, chief among them Iran.

The two meetings, he opined, are like the two prongs of the Zulfiqar sword that the Axis of Resistance has unsheathed against the American-Zionist project.

“This is while the countdown to the collapse of Israel, this cancerous tumor in the region, has begun, and the wish of the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, is coming true,” Faiad added.
