Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri says the enemies have dropped the military option rhetoric against Iran in recent years owing to the Islamic Republic’s “sustainable deterrence.”

“The enemy has stopped talking about the military option [against Iran] for years,” Baqeri said on Tuesday.

The United States, the Israeli regime and other enemies have realized that the ground battle against Iran would have no outcome but defeat and damage, he added.

Baqeri said the change in the enemies’ policies is because of Iran’s success in achieving “sustainable and efficient deterrence power” which is being constantly overseen by armed forces.

He added that Iran is also monitoring the enemies’ movements and trying to make up for the shortcomings so as to maintain the country’s deterrence power.

On Wednesday, the chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said that the US is resorting to waging proxy attacks on Iran since they are well aware that direct military action against us would spell a “major suicide” for them.

Salami further said that the Iranian armed forces have succeeded in establishing a deterrent power against enemies.

He said Iran’s deterrent power is not limited to just missiles and drones, adding that the enemy has become increasingly disappointed due to the formation of an “endless [defensive] power” in the country against any hostile forces.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made substantial headway in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sector.

Homegrown Iranian military products have also found many clients in the world.

Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities which are entirely meant for defense.
