Iran’s support for Palestine
In the wake of the recent Israeli military raids into the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, and the subsequent responses by Palestinian youth, the leaders of several Palestinian resistance groups fighting against the Zionist regime came to Tehran during the last few days, while tensions were simmering in the West Bank.
Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), arrived in Iran along with several other senior members and leaders of Palestinian militant groups last week, culminating in the arrival of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran a few days later. The active movement of Palestinian resistance leaders in Tehran during the past couple of weeks is indicative of the fact that Iran has not taken a single step back from the cause of the freedom of the Palestinian people.
