Israeli forces kill three Palestinian men, one woman in occupied West Bank

The combined photo shows Palestinian martyrs Ibrahim Jaber, Moath Masri, and Hassan Katnani, who were killed in an Israeli raid on the West Bank city of Nablus on May 4, 2023.

Israeli forces have killed three Palestinian men and injured several others during a raid on the West Bank city of Nablus, followed by a separate act of aggression that killed a woman near the city.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Palestinian Health Ministry initially said the facial features of two of the victims were completely distorted due to the intensity of the shooting, making it difficult to identify them.

Palestinian eyewitnesses said Israeli forces stormed the al-Yasmina neighborhood of Nablus Old City earlier in the day and opened fire at a Palestinian house.

The occupation troops used Energa anti-tank rifle grenades during their raid and prevented medical staff from approaching the area.

Two of the Palestinian victims were later identified as Moath Masri and Hassan Katnani, with the Israeli army claiming that they were responsible for last month’s shooting attack in the Jordan Valley which killed three settlers.

The third victim was also identified as Ibrahim Jaber, who the Israeli army claimed had aided Masri and Katnani in hiding.

Meanwhile, Israeli minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant issued a statement, rejoicing over the murder of the three Palestinians.

The Gaza-based Hamas resistance movement, however, asserted that the latest Israeli crime added another black page to their record.

It also urged the brave Palestinian people to keep engaging the occupying enemy and seek revenge for the blood of their martyrs.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh denounced the Israeli crime, saying the regime’s atrocities “don’t stop until they start again in a more terrifying and deadly way.”

He further called on the international community to hold Tel Aviv accountable for its horrific crimes and continuous violations against the Palestinian people.

Israeli forces fatally shoot Palestinian woman in Huwara

In another brutal attack on Thursday, Israeli forces fatally shot a Palestinian woman over an alleged stabbing attack in the West Bank town of Huwara near Nablus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said the woman, identified as Eman Odeh, was taken to the Rafidia hospital in critical condition. Later reports said she succumbed to her wounds.

A 20-year-old Israeli was lightly wounded in the incident, according to the regime’s army.

Tensions have been running high between Israel and the Palestinians over the past year, with the Israeli military conducting violent raids in the occupied West Bank
