Israel covering up reverse migration of settlers from occupied lands: IRGC

Spokesman of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif

The spokesman of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says the Israeli regime is covering up the flow of reverse migration of two-million Israeli settlers from the occupied territories.

Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif made the comments while addressing reporters on Tuesday ahead of International Quds Day and amid the violent incursions by Israeli forces into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound and the brutal attacks on Palestinian worshipers.

“Today, the developments in Palestine are in favor of the Palestinian people and their cause and the dream of the Zionists (Israelis) to have a land from the Nile to the Euphrates has come to an end,” said Sharif, who is also the chairman of Intifada (Uprising) and Quds Department of the Coordinating Council of the Islamic Propagation Organization.

He noted that the struggles of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples as well as the axis of resistance have shattered Israel’s dreams, adding that the Tel Aviv regime has hatched many conspiracies against Iran and the Iranian nation, many of which have failed.

The IRGC spokesman also said the Palestinian fighters carried out some 10,000 operations against Israel in the occupied territories over the past year, adding that the regime has not experienced even one day of peace over the period.

Israel has been grappling with grave domestic and international crises in recent months.

A controversial judicial overhaul, which has now been suspended by prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard-right administration, was intended to curtail the authority of the Supreme Court and give politicians greater powers over the selection of judges, sparking outrage among settlers.

The struggle over the so-called judicial reforms illustrates the deep divide in Israeli society between supporters of the incumbent right-wing administration, who says the judicial changes are necessary, and the growing number of settlers opposed to Netanyahu’s plan, who argue that the moves will weaken the independence of the regime’s judiciary.

Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri said on Monday that the current course of developments at regional and global levels indicate that the Israeli regime is nearing its collapse and the global arrogance is losing its power while the Islamic Republic is getting stronger.
