Tons of humanitarian assistance sent by Iran has arrived at the gateway of al-Yarmuk Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus. The aid was delivered to a Syria-based Palestinian faction in the presence of Iran’s ambassador to Damascus who reiterated Tehran’s unwavering support for the Palestinians and their cause.

The convoy carries 4,000 food parcels. The aid will be distributed among the needy Palestinians in the refugee camps in Syria. Heads of Palestinian factions emphasized the importance of Iran’s historic support for Palestinians’ steadfastness, vowing to stay adherent to resistance until their land are freed.

Before the onset of the Syrian crisis, Palestinians used to live a normal life until terrorists took over al-Yarmuk refugee camp in Damascus, the largest of its kind in the region. As a result, tens of thousands of refugees were displaced and scattered across the Arab country, with increasing humanitarian needs.

Iran continues to stand by Palestinians on both the military and humanitarian levels. The Islamic Republic has been supporting the legitimate rights of Palestinians to fight against the Israeli occupation.
