Ahead of the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, representatives of diplomatic missions in Tehran have visited the Iranian President. The visit has been made to congratulate Ebrahim Raeisi and the Iranian nation on the special occasion. The ceremony has also provided the opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the Islamic republic over the past 44 years. Gisoo Misha Ahmadi reports.

The anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution is always the time to look back at the revolutions’ achievements, particularly for nations that are still fighting for freedom and democracy in the face of imperialistic conspiracies of “arrogant powers” in the words of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

Traditionally representatives of diplomatic missions in Iran visit the president to congratulate the Iranian nation on the occasion. This year the 44th anniversary is cause for a double celebration as Iran managed to put an end to foreign-backed riots and foiled plots hatched by the country’s enemies.

Political analysts have said, time and again, that the oppressed peoples of the world see the 1979 Islamic revolution as a beacon of hope.

A great example of that is how Iran has managed to thwart Western pressures and US unilateral sanctions and not just maintain but also reinforce economic relations with its business partners. This means that Imam Khomeini has clearly introduced a successful and dynamic system.

Iran has come a long way over the past 44 years and can serve as a role model for countries worldwide.
