World Cup 2022: Mexico 2-1 Saudi Arabia

Mexico beat Saudi Arabia 2-1 but crashed out of the World Cup in the tightest of fashions.

The tri-color needed goals to brush aside Poland, and they started getting them in the second half. Henry Martin netted the first from a corner in the 47th minute to set the Mexican stands on fire.

And just 5 minutes later, Luis Chavez scored the second, with a sensational free-kick. From that point on, Mexico were level with Poland in Group C on points, goal difference, goals scored and on their head-to-head record.

They were just going out due to getting more yellow cards than Poland. But they conceded deep into injury-time which means they missed out on goal difference.
