Lionel Messi has helped keep Argentina's World Cup bid alive in a 2-0 victory over Mexico.
A defeat to Saudi Arabia in their opening Group C match, had left Argentina on the brink of elimination. But the Albiceleste edged their fellow Latin Americans, as first Messi fired home from 20-yards out, after the hour mark.
And then, Enzo Fernandez added a thunderbolt-second, 3 minutes from time, to seal the win. Argentina still need to win their final group match against Poland to guarantee a place in the knockout round. For Mexico, who have one point, even a win over the Saudis might not be enough.
