People from all walks of life rallied in the Gaza Strip following the Friday prayer in solidarity with Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Protesters shouted slogans decrying the Israeli crimes in Al-Quds and in the occupied West bank. In recent days extremist Jewish settlers backed by Israeli forces have been violating the sanctity of Al-Aqsa mosque compound in Al-Quds.

Israeli attacks usually increase during Jewish holidays. The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas which organized the rally warned the Tel-Aviv regime against crossing the red lines at Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

Protesters in the Gaza Strip vowed to step up their support for Al-Quds until the end of all the Israeli violations in the holy city. They also reiterated their adherence to resistance as the best way to defend Al-Quds.

Al-Aqsa mosque is Islam’s third holiest site and has been under Israeli occupation since 1967, while Palestinians consider Al-Quds as the capital of their future state.

Palestinians maintain that continued Israeli infringements upon Al-Aqsa Mosque will only increase the resistance against the occupation. Observers say the international community has failed to help Palestinians in Al-Quds while turning a blind eye to Israeli violations against them for decades.
