Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has highlighted the stance of the resistance front in addition to the significant achievements accomplished in the past 40 years.

The most pressing matter awaiting the resistance, he said, was the issue of maritime resources. The cause of Palestine was also a very significant endeavor which Hezbollah sees as a duty of the past, present and future.

Celebrating 40 years since it was founded as a resistance movement, Hezbollah organized a mass rally where artists used hologram technology to commemorate the movement’s martyred leaders.

Those attending stressed that if it weren’t for the resistance, they would not be here today. The celebration included real footage of past operations during the Israeli occupation of Lebanon, the liberation of most Lebanese land in May of 2000, as well as significant images from the 2006 summer confrontation of the Israeli assaults and finally the fight against Takfiri terrorists in the Eastern border mountains.

Hezbollah says it’s celebrating more than a mere date on the calendar as its establishment day. Forty years ago today, the Israeli army backed by multi-national forces occupied the Lebanese capital Beirut, but a small group of young men believed liberation was possible and achieved the unthinkable.
